I am living on the Coromandel, painting in my Art Shed nestled in our garden. Down below, the sea rolls into Mercury Bay with continual inspiration. I’m in the paint again!
Inspirations in my life have been:
- Growing up in rural Gisborne, on the East Cape of NZ, and recently moving to the Coromandel; each location having their own NZ east coast personalities
- Travelling to the dry sands of the Middle East, lush greens of Vietnam & Cambodia, hot reds of central & North Australia
- Sailing around a bleached out, hot Mediterranean Sea
- Landscaping and landscape design in Wellington for many years kept a pencil in my hand and when working outside I loved watching the Wellington ‘breeze’ play on the water
